I like the idea of building around a stove :) We added a Blue Star range 4 years before remodeling the rest of our kitchen, then built the remodeled kitchen around it. I will say a big consideration when we were designing the kitchen is "what do you use the kitchen for?" I am not a baker but we like to cook. So, I didn't need a place for a stand mixer/rolling out dough. But, did need room for our knives/tools and adequate workspace and "triangle" between stove/work space/sink. Also, plug for pullout shelves. They're great!

Glad I chose rounded corners and an oval table. If you've ever bumped into a sharp corner, you'll know why I made that choice.
